Return & Exchange Policy

At Chikan Kahani, every garment is thoughtfully handcrafted using traditional chikankari techniques. Due to the delicate and artisanal nature of our products, we maintain a clear and fair return & exchange policy.

 

1. Returns Eligibility

We accept returns only in the following cases:

  • The product received is damaged, defective, or incorrect

  • The request is raised within 48 hours of delivery

  • The item is unused, unwashed, and in original condition with tags intact

 

2. Exchanges

We offer exchanges under these conditions:

  • Size-related issues (subject to availability)

  • Damaged or defective products

Exchange requests must be raised within 48 hours of delivery.

Customers can opt for:

  • A different size of the same product

  • Another product of equal value (store credit may be provided if needed)

 

3. Non-Returnable & Non-Exchangeable Items

The following are not eligible:

  • Products bought during sale, discount, or promotional offers

  • Customized or made-to-order items

  • Minor variations in embroidery, weave, or color
    (These are natural characteristics of handcrafted chikankari and not defects)

 

4. Return / Exchange Process

To initiate a request:

  1. Email us at [your email] with:

    • Order ID

    • Clear images of the product

    • Reason for request

  2. Our team will review and respond within 2–3 business days

  3. Once approved:

    • Reverse pickup will be arranged (where available), or

    • You may be asked to self-ship the product

 

5. Reverse Pickup & Shipping

  • Reverse pickup is available in select locations

  • If unavailable, customers must self-ship the product

  • Shipping charges:

    • Covered by us if the issue is our error (defect/wrong item)

    • Otherwise, borne by the customer

 

6. Refund Policy

  • Refunds are processed only for approved returns

  • After inspection, refunds will be issued within 5–7 business days

  • Refunds will be made via:

    • Original payment method, or

    • Store credit (if applicable)

Note: Shipping charges are non-refundable.

 

7. Important Note on Handcrafted Nature

Each Chikan Kahani piece is handcrafted and may involve 100+ hours of embroidery.
Slight irregularities in patterns, threadwork, or texture are a hallmark of authentic hand embroidery, not defects.
